At LUC Advogados, we work exclusively in dispute resolution — through arbitration or in court — and matters related to litigation funding.
In the area of public law, we defend companies and individuals against regulatory bodies and other public entities, including in tax issues. In private law, we represent individuals and companies, especially in business litigation and family and property succession concerns.
Our appellate office in Brasilia plays a crucial role in our advocacy, working before the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court and the Brazilian Superior Court of Justice.

Luciano Godoy
Luciano Godoy holds a bachelor’s (1991) and master’s degree (1997) and a doctorate (2002) from the School of Law of the University of São Paulo. Godoy was also a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School from 2006 to 2007. His practice focuses mainly on Civil, Regulatory and Arbitration law, representing large Brazilian and international groups. Before starting LUC Advogados, Godoy worked as an executive at CSN - Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional and at Santander Bank. In addition, he was a Federal Judge at the Federal Regional Court of the 3rd Region for 10 years.
Ricardo Zamariola
Zamariola graduated from the School of Law of the University of São Paulo. For more than 13 years, his practice has focused on complex litigation of various kinds and on representing clients before the Brazilian higher courts. In the area of international law, Zamariola is renowned for his work in one of the most widely recognized court disputes in Brazil - the “Goldman Case”, which brought the issue of international parental child abduction to the forefront of public awareness for the first time in the country.
